STAUNTON – Peyton Hicks hit the go-ahead bucket with 4.8 seconds left as Robert E. Lee’s gils basketball team pulled out a 48-46 victory Tuesday over Buffalo Gap in Conference 36 action at Robert E. Lee High School.
Hicks led the Lee Ladies (2-2) with 15 points, while teammateSara Sabo added 11. The Bison were led by Marybeth Strickler’s 11-point night, while Leah Calhoun had 10 points and eight rebounds.
Both teams return to action Friday night. Lee High hosts Wilson Memorial, while Gap hosts Fort Defiance.
